But seriously, when a boutique investment banking firm starts up, they need a smart look, with business cards that will make their clients want to empty their wallets and their competitors queasy with envy.

We put on our suit-wearing straight faces for this corporate project, and we discovered that when serious, we are still just as good – although no less sensual. The pure cotton rag, hand-engraved cards we made for Lone Oak are really something you gotta fondle to appreciate. The logo itself was tweaked and tweaked till we got that lone oak just right. We had to put in the time because, oh did we mention, we were even hired to come up with the company’s name.

Lone Oak was so pleased with the name and the identity that they asked for a website. We gave them what they wanted: a small, clean and timeless site, with a secure area for courting their clients. Fully content-managed by Lone Oak, of course.

When it came to our fee, we angled and angled for a royalty agreement. They were having none of that.
